What is Gynaecomastia ?

Gynaecomastia or male breasts is an abnormal growth of breast in male patients. This may be due to hormonal imbalances, chronic use of medicines, pubertal changes and weight gain. This is very resistant  to any medications or weight reducing measures. This condition is often considered a social taboo and hampers the confidence and well being of the patient

The treatment usually involves excision or removal  of the fatty tissue and the breast gland. Many a times , this can be done with the help of liposuction, without the need of any sutures and scars and patient can be discharged on the day of surgery. He may be required to use pressure garments ( a specialized form of garments) for few months .
