What is Hair Transplantation?

Hair transplantation is a simple procedure, wherein we harvest body hair from back of scalp, arms and chest and transplant them to the areas of scalp( head) from where hair have fallen off. These transplanted hair grow naturally at their new site ,thus restoring the hair and covering baldness. Most of the times , hair transplantation is a single stage, one time treatment for baldness.

Hair transplantation is an office procedure, as in, the patient is typically called in the morning of the surgery, which lasts for about 6 – 8 hours. The patient is awake and comfortable during the procedure and can go home once the surgery is over. This does not require any bed rest or immobilization.

The results of the procedure are visible after about 4 – 5 months of surgery and most of the patients are very satisfied with the hair growth.
