What is meant by PRP ?

Stem cells have opened new doors in the field of medicine, which were till now unknown to mankind. Theoretically, stem cells can give rise to any organ or tissue of the body. We can harvest these stem cells from various methods.

One of the easier sources of stem cells is our blood.

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. Peripheral blood is collected and is processed in a centrifuge machine to separate a component which is rich in platelets. This when injected in our scalp starts a repair process, thereby promoting hair growth. PRP has shown very promising results in the management of hair fall and is a now a mainstream therapy in the management of hair thinning and baldness.
