What is meant by Dupuytren’s disease?

Due to Diabetes , thyroid disorders, some patients develop deformities of fingers in the form of contractures and skin thickening.This leads to impaired day to day activities. These can  easily be corrected by hand surgery which involves release of the constricting bands underneath the skin.
